Fraud Awareness
Important Security Message
Kyte Broking Limited (Kyte) and its appointed representative, Market Securities LLP (Market Securities), have received reports of suspected fraudulent activity in which the Market Securities name has been used without our permission to conduct fraudulent transactions.
This page contains important information about our business, what you can expect from us, and how to check whether a proposed transaction is genuine.
Who our services are for
Kyte and Market Securities provide broking services only to professional clients and eligible counterparties. We do not provide services to retail clients.
If you are an individual and have been offered an investment said to be arranged by Market Securities, you should assume the transaction is not genuine and you should not proceed with the transaction without contacting us directly first.
How these approaches may appear
People misusing our name may:
- describe themselves as working for, or introducing business to, Market Securities;
- quote our firm reference numbers, our London address or our website to appear credible;
- send documents, term sheets or confirmations that carry the Market Securities name or logo; or
- ask for payment to a bank account that is not held in the name of Kyte or Market Securities.
None of these points should be taken on their own as confirmation that a transaction is genuine.
Checking that a transaction is genuine
Please do not agree to, or pay for, any transaction said to involve Market Securities or Kyte until you have confirmed it with us directly. To do this:
- Type register.fca.org.uk into your browser yourself. Don't follow links you have been sent.
- Search for Market Securities LLP (firm reference number 519097) or Kyte Broking Limited (firm reference number 174863).
- Contact us using only the telephone number or email address shown on the Register, or the verification contacts below.
- Ignore any phone number, email address or website supplied by the person who approached you, even if they say the Register details are out of date. The FCA updates the Register every day.
Our verification contacts
If you are concerned about a potential transaction
- Do not send any further money, and stop responding to the person concerned.
- If you have made a payment or shared bank details, call your bank straight away, using the number on your card or statement.
- Let us know using the verification contacts above, so we can record the approach and take it up with the authorities.
- Be wary of any later offer to recover your money in return for a fee. People who have lost money to fraud are often targeted again.
